Acer Lodge is situated on the west side of the city. Being on a main thoroughfare, numerous buses are available for the 10 minute ride to the City Centre. The Airport and Forth Road Bridge are also only a 10 minute drive away. Private parking is provided.

Ideally situated for the tourist, Acer Lodge can be used either to visit the beautiful city of Edinburgh, or as a base to explore other parts of Scotland. We are also able to arrange day tours to other parts of Scotland (Highlands etc) on your behalf with pick up and drop off from outside the Guest House

Recently completely refurbished one thing we are confident about is that once you have been you will almost certainly want to come back. Our main aim is to please so we consider cleanliness, service and excellent cuisine a necessity and not a bonus.

The accommodation boasts a Scottish Tourist Board four star rating and single, double; twin and family rooms are available.

Each centrally heated room is en-suite and is individually and tastefully furnished with many homely extras to spoil you including a trouser press; colour television; shaver point; hair dryer; radio-alarm clock; refrigerator as well as tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and fresh fruit.

If required a cot and high chair are available.

After a good nights sleep an extensive breakfast is provided catering for all diets and many friendships are made over breakfast whilst planning the day ahead.

Several high quality Golf Courses; a Sports Complex; Edinburgh Zoo; the Botanical Gardens and Murrayfield Rugby Stadium are all within two miles. More importantly within half a mile are supermarkets; restaurant; public houses; banks; hairdressers and many other shops and facilities.

After exploring Edinburgh ACER LODGE is ideally situated to explore other parts of Scotland and the following are all within an hour by car; St Andrews, Glasgow, Stirling, Dunfermline, Perth and the border towns of Hawick, Galshiels, Selkirk and Melrose.

Just outwith the hour are Pitlochry and the Trossachs, Loch Lomond and numerous other tourist attractions.
